This Week In St. Louis: Dec. 12 - Dec. 18, 2016

@ CBGB | 9pm | 21+
-Mirror Mirror
-Trauma Harness

An all "post" and "indie" night at CBGB kicks off Mirror Mirror's first tour and inaugural release.

@ Way Out Club | 9:30pm | 21+
-Andy Ortmann (IL)
-Hogg (GA)
-Dead From the Neck Up
-Fritz and Chris Duo

The lineups at the Way Out Club keep getting weirder. Case in point: We have Nihilist Records founder Andy Ortmann (also known for Panicsville) coming down to perform alongside a powerhouse duo that features Chris of Brain Transplant.

SAT. DEC. 12

@ Barnes & Noble | 4pm | free | all ages
New Music Circle pop-up event:
-Kevin Harris & Alex Cunningham

Modular synthesizer and violin will hopefully creep out Barnes & Noble regulars who plan on ruining X-Mas with a family-wide supply of Trump: The Art of the Deal.

@ The Firebird | 8pm | $10/$12 | all ages
-Muuy Biien (GA)

Muuy Biien hearkens back to the late-90s/early-00s era of sassy noise rock a la Gold Standard Labs, Three One G and other associated labels. FFO bands who do disco beats with their tritones.

SUN. DEC. 18

@ Blank Space | 9pm | $5-$7 | all ages
-Nosferatu (GA)
-Enemy One (GA)
-O.N.E. (MO)
-Newt Patrol

Nosferatu funnels its guitar scum into a solid punk mold with a simple, yet effective approach. Five bands fill Blank Space on a Sunday night for roughly the same price of a Taco Bell combo meal.

These are just some highlights. Check the sidebar for more!
