Site/Sound Debuts an STL Soundtrack for the Laumeier Sculpture Park

Eric Hall has been kicking ass as the amazing Laumeier Sculpture Park's first composer-in-residence.

Yea, he's kicking ass and taking names -- 72 of them, to be precise -- for his latest large scale installation Site/Sound.

Hall's beardface beats the hell out of Ron Swanson's badass 'stache, and he's the real deal when it comes to the art of parks and recreation. All unnecessary allusions aside, this is a great opportunity to get off the couch and into the great outdoors for a chance to get some air and explore.

In Site/Sound, an amalgam of freeform noises and composed songs interpret the ambiance of the park's long-standing collection that's scattered across the grassy lawn and amongst trees and leaves.

Bring a smartphone to scan each track to find the surprises hidden among the forestry -- late adopters can borrow an iPod from the museum's shop.

Site/Sound debuts today, Saturday, Oct. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m., with an artist's reception and tons of commotion. Stop by to shake the man's hand, and give him a pat on the back for making this awesome St. Louis soundtrack happen. Check the exhibit out sometime while it's still up over the next couple of weeks!
