Update Incoming!!

Crankfest was a success! We were able to raise around 700 dollars for the touring bands throughout the weekend. March looks to be an extremely busy month for everyone, so if you're not a regular show goer, make your way out to see your favorite (and not-so-favorite) bands this month. Multiple venues will be competing for your attention this Spring, so do your best to be supportive.

With that said, I have a major update planned. My goals are to refresh and update the layout, provide more robust articles covering shows that might be under-appreciated or missed this month and refresh the venues and links pages. In the meantime, I invite you to check out Sine Nomine's new album: Super Molecular Dust Separator.

St. Louis bands are absolutely KILLING it this year so far. Shaved Women released a full length LP on Rotted Tooth Records (which seems to be everyone's favorite at the time). Not to be outclassed, Sine Nomine recently released their first full length in over five years. Super Molecular Dust Separator combines the genre trappings of metal and hardcore with an experimental edge that has careful consideration to the structure and tone of the music. The album was recorded and engineered at local studio Firebrand Recording. From what I can tell, this is just a taste of what's to come from St. Louis in 2011.
